I recently heard from two different sources, which talk about two very different subjects, that we should be eating food that is made with love. We should eat food where the goal in the making is to create something of high quality for consumption. That consumption should bring pleasure to the person partaking in the food.
The point put forth by both authors (one actually speaking about nutrition and the other speaking about spirituality) is that the body will make better use of the food.
Now, there is no doubt that eating home-made, free range, organic, or any other loving or quality way of making food is going to be better for us just because of the lack of chemicals in the food. Processed food is not actually food. It's a food-like substitute.
The authors go beyond this point though and say that the energy of the people creating the food is imbued in the actual food and that positive energy has a positive effect on the people that eat it. Highly processed food comes from an uncaring conveyor belt owned by people who are looking out almost completely for their own bottom line. They don't care about the health or well-being of the consumer (obviously, because if they did, thousands of food-like substances wouldn't be made since they are poisonous).
What do you think? Is positive energy added to our food when made with care? Does it have a positive impact on our health beyond the nutritional value of the food?
