Another meme borrowed from Mrs. Chili (and I remembered to link to her blog this time).
1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
Any of them that charge interest.
2. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?
Sad as this may be but I can't remember the last romantic dinner we had. We had plans for Valentine's Day but that was changed by friends dropping in.
3. Do you own a guitar?
No. I was tempted to go buy one just so I could answer yes to this question.
4. Name of your first grade teacher?
You're kidding right. I can't remember what happened two days ago and I've been to about 14 different schools. 5th or 6th grade was Mr. C. Cvatanich or something? Best teacher I ever had.
5. Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
Yes but not as a patient.
6. Do you own a piggy bank shaped like a pig?
No. Mine looks like a large Pepsi can. A held over idol from my cop days. Mountain Dew was nectar of the gods but I favored Pepsi.
7. How many colleges did you attend?
Two, so far. Many more to come, I'm sure.
8. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?
Because it has long sleeves and I was cold. What kind of thought process goes into clothes picking?
9. What are your thoughts on gas prices?
I have to say that I was caught completely by surprise by the high price of gasoline and I'm not sure how I'm going to make ends meet now. I'm going to petition Congress to do something about this outrage.
10. Do you shower facing the shower head or with your back to it?
I hang from a bar above the shower on a spinning trapeze bar. After the water shuts off, the bar twirls faster doing a spin dry job on me. What kind of question is this? I face toward, then away, then toward. Face toward for getting wet. Face away to lather up. Rinse. Repeat.
11. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
I didn't hear the alarm but I heard my phone. It was work. I asked them what time it was.
12. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
I hate daylight savings time.
13. Do you have anything in your pockets right now?
No. I usually don't have anything in my pockets when I'm answering meme questions because it cuts down on my responsiveness.
14. How many windows are open on your computer?
One. Now that Explorer has tabs, I don't need any extra windows open. I have 7 tabs open if that means anything.
15. What errand/chore do you despise?
Picking up the trash that blows in my yard from my neighbors. Mine is the last house on the street and the wind usually blows from the west or the north. When it blows from the north, I get everyone's crap in my roses.
16. If you didn’t have to work, would you volunteer?
Volunteer for what? I'd volunteer to answer memes. In fact, I already do that and I still work. My generosity overflows.
17. Get up early or sleep in?
Get up early. I'm more productive in the morning. There are less distractions. Less phone calls. Less everything. Just me and whatever I'm trying to do. Whether it's writing or exercising, it's much easier in the morning.
18. Who or what is your favorite cartoon character?
Snoopy. PTE Rick took me on the coolest tour of St. Paul where they have all kinds of different Snoopy statues. We walked for miles and I took a couple rolls of pictures (yes, this is back when film was more popular than digital - the olden days - all the way back to the year 2000). We couldn't find the World War I flying ace though and I was very disappointed. I mentioned it a few times during my stay. Then we went to the airport and my flight was delayed. We decided to wander around the airport while we waited. Guess what we found. I had my picture taken with him but I can't find it. Here's me with Snoopy in St. Paul though.
19. Are you a daydreamer?
I'm a daydream believer.
20. When did you first start feeling old?
I don't feel old yet.
21. Favorite 80s movie?
Top Gun.
22. Your favorite lunch meat?
Chicken breast. No bread or anything. Just the chicken.
23. Beach or lake?
Beach. Love the smell and sound.
24. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
No but I don't think the government should be involved in any way. They should not get to choose who is allowed to make commitments to each other. Make tax laws the same for all people. Allow insurance companies to decide who is covered and who isn't. I know I'm saying this all in vain as we're moving toward being a police state where the government controls everything but I can dream.
25. Do you own property?
We go back and forth. Sometimes I own my house and sometimes it owns me.
26. Favorite guilty pleasure?
Why would pleasure feel guilty? Either have fun doing pleasurable things or don't do them.
27. Favorite movie you wouldn’t want anyone to find out about?
That one sex tape I made where we . . . wait, if I told you, that would be self-defeating, wouldn't it?
28. What’s your drink at the bar?
It used to be Sprite but I don't drink sugary or carbonated drinks anymore so I guess it would be bottled water now. It's been a long time since I've been to a bar.
29. Cowboys or Indians?
St. Louis Rams.
30. Are you sarcastic?
Not in the least.
31. Are you shy?
I suppose you could say that. Private. People watcher. I'd rather to listen to people than speak unless it's close friends. Then I like to make them laugh.
32. In the past week have you gotten sick?
I'm starting to get sick of the large number of questions involved in this meme.
33. Norm or Cliff from Cheers?
"NORM!"
34. In the past week, have you felt stupid?
Maybe. I don't remember. Life happens and I move on.
35. In the past week have you gotten your hair cut?
I shave every day. Does that count as cutting hair?
36. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?
Britney Spears. It would increase my blog traffic.
37. Indoors or Outdoors?
Outdoors.
38. Be honest, do you buy the cheap or expensive toilet paper?
I have no idea. I buy the same kind every time but I have no idea how it compares in price to others. Buy what you want.

To create a cloud of fog from which to spring and hit bad guys in the face with said fire extinguisher? No, but I have put out a few fires with them.
40. Last book you read for real?
For real? World Made by Hand. For pretend? The owner's manual on any piece of equipment I own. Quick start guide, skim, skim, skim, set the clock, skim, index. Okay, let's go.
41. Has someone disappointed you recently?
No. Don't expect anything from people and you'll never be disappointed. People do the best they can with what they have and my expectations play very little, if any, part in their actions.
42. What was the last movie you watched?
I watched 15 minutes of Wayne's World while icing my ribs. Icing my ribs? That sounds bizarre. Unless it's that coconut-ty German Chocolate cake icing. I'm pretty sure you can put that stuff on anything. Including ribs.
43. Somewhere in California you have never been and would like to go?
Why California? I've criss-crossed California several times. I've lived in San Diego and Oakland, been through wine country, death valley, some volcano that I can't remember the name of, Alcatraz, Winchester mansion, Disneyland more times that is legal, the Redwood forest, and every place in between all those destinations. I'm sure there are plenty of cool places in California that I haven't been too but I don't know where they are.
I'm going to go with, lunch with Lynette at a restaurant that I've never been to.
44. Have you been outside the USA?
I was born in Puerto Rico which might be a gray area but moved from there to Japan and lived in England and crossed the Channel to France a couple of times. Does Guam count for anything? I got the mumps in Guam. It's the only time I've ever used a barf bag on an airplane. I also almost drowned in Guam. Thanks for bringing up these wonderful memories. Luckily someone reached me from the edge of the pool and pulled my head above water. My sister got mumps too but didn't nearly drowned.
45. At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or a new relationship?
I asked Tia about adding an extra person to the relationship and she has informed me that I would rather start a new career.
