Success Warrior is still around

I've been busy but I'm still here.  Starting tomorrow, this blog is probably going to switch formats yet again and become a daily journal.  I think the summer is going to be busy and I'm not going to even bother to fight to have each post be on a specific topic.  You get what I get.  My fitness journal will be incorporated into it.  Summer activities.  Articles that I come across.

Speaking of which, thanks EditorMum for the article.  I agree and I'm going to use that article.  Ideals are fine and dandy until it comes to fame and fortune, eh?  Then all bets are off.  It's the same for me.  I've promised not to shave all the hair off my body but as soon as Men's Fitness shows up and offers me money for a photo shoot, I'll be as hairless as a Brazilian on Mardi Gras.

Those that are awaiting an email response from me or for me to take my turn at the several word games that I'm involved in, tomorrow should be the magic day.  Should.  Not actual hardcore promises.

I have plenty to do tomorrow but I have most of the day off from work.  Most.  On my day off, I have *most* of the day off.  There is something wrong with that picture.

However, I'm taking almost all of Monday off so we can take Trey to ride Thomas the Train up in Heber.  It's a worthy trade.

I'll leave you with this bit of fittingness before I try to sneak in a nap in preparation of a fun filled Saturday night playing with drunks in a casino:

What's Up With Success Warrior?

Whereswaldo He's still working, exercising, kenpo-ing, exercising, coaching, exercising, eating right, exercising, and trying to get enough sleep.

What this is going to mean for now is a scaling back on blogging.  Scaling back meaning dropping the SWB blog for a while and aiming for a post a day for Chronicles.

Chronicles will still, uh, chronicle my fitness journey and the other days will likely be a mish-mash of topics.  What ever strikes my fancy for the day and probably covering several things per post like the Snippet Saturday posts.

Today, Tia and I are going to the city to see if we can help pull this country out of the recession by buying birthday presents for Trey.

No, we didn't get our "rebate" from King George yet.  We won't be using that to help with the recession.  That's going toward paying off my car.  Other than the mortgage, we should be debt free in June.  July at the latest.

Speaking of the mortgage, I called my credit union to see what kind of rate I could get on a refi*.  Not a whole lot better than what I have now.  What the hell?  Uncle Ben is selling fiat money at bargain basement prices.  You'd think my credit union could pass some of that savings on to me.

Tomorrow, I'll update my P90X Journal and maybe on Friday I'll have an interesting story from today's little outing.  It seems like something funny or interesting happens when we go into town.  I think the reason for that is the fact that I don't get out much so anything beyond my front lawn is interesting or humorous.

Have a great day!

Back from the Dead

Zombie Wednesday night, Trey and I came down with the flu in a bad way.  I'm back up today.  He's not.  Poor kid.  He still had a fever of 103 last night and has just been miserable.  As such, the only time I was sitting upright was when I was forced to and I haven't been blogging as some of you may have noticed.

I did lay on the couch and watch political news and one thing has become apparent.  Most people just don't get it and my blog isn't reaching a large enough audience.  Not that I'm going to stop blogging but I may cut down a bit on the wordage to free up some time.

I have a deadline at the end of February for my book and I really need to get serious about finishing the final edit.  I have decided on a new introduction which will take some time to write and there are 3 chapters that need a slight change of theme.

That's where I will have to put most of my words for the next 6 weeks.  I'll keep tracking the Ron Paul Revolution as well as I can and when my body is back up to full operation, I'll jump back into P90X and journal that.

I will say this about Ron Paul today.  He keeps beating Rudy.  How cool is that?  He also is not going to drop out of the race.  He is going to continue to spread his message for as long as he can and that might be all the way up until September.  The Revolution doesn't have plans on stopping, not even then.

One other small note on Ron Paul.  My precinct was allowed 4 delegates.  3 are for Ron Paul and one is for Fred Thompson.  The neighboring precinct was allowed 2 delegates.  Both of them are for Huckabee.  Mitt may have won the popular vote by being a Mormon but the delegate battle is still on.  There will be a county convention in March to whittle delegates down before going to the state convention where they are whittled down again before going to the national convention.

This is my first time caucusing (and obviously my first time as a delegate) and I have no idea what I'm doing but I'll keep you updated on how things play out.  If I make it all the way to the national level, I'd have to go to Minneapolis.  Darn.  =)

P90X Update Delayed for One Day

I spent so much time today writing up my view of the different economic solutions presidential candidates are offering that I don't have time to update my P90X journal today.  There isn't much to update, as I will explain tomorrow, but I'll see what I can do about at least making you laugh.

For today, in this blog, I'm just going to post a video of more Ron Paul Revolution craziness.  First, they get a blimp.  Now they have the longest limousine in the world.
