Someone Please Tell Me the Point

Beachvolleyball The Republican and Democratic conventions are done and I have to say, "Who cares?"  As far as delegates getting together and debating on who will represent the party, that's all rigged and done way before the conventions.  Once it's convention time, everything is done to keep people from debating.

Hillary urged her supporters not to cause waves and I don't even want to talk about the Republicans (but I will).

When the state reps of the Republican party saw that we Ron Paul supporters were going to put mostly Ron Paul delegates into the national convention, they stopped the process.  And never started it again.

Ron Paul supporters held their own convention to choose delegates and the state reps hand picked McCain followers.  Both sent them to the national level.

The national convention rejected both groups saying that the whole thing had been done incorrectly.  Instead, they chose who would represent Nevada.  They chose McCain delegates from the list submitted by the state reps.  Nice, eh?

Our one party system is a complete and total farce where nothing is left to chance, or left to the vote of the people.

I'm almost sorry that I paid attention to the corruption we call an election.

On a more positive note, I'm on vacation this week.

Vacation means more work than I would actually be doing at work but I'm enjoying it and I'm doing it for me.  I'm building a dog run for Tryce who is chewing up and digging under everything.  He's a destructive force that needs to reined in.  Right now, I'd put him at a Class 3 Beagle but he has been getting worse and I have to fix it this week or have him stuffed and mounted.

I started teaching my women's fitness class this week.  Two classes to date and so far, so good.  =)

I moved where I teach karate and that means that I have my garage back.  That also means that I moved all my weights back to the garage.  Talk about a serious drop set.  I started with the 60 lb dumbbells and worked my way down.  I didn't work out on Sunday but moving a few hundred pounds of weights counts in my book.

With the weights out of the office, I'm putting together a new desk.  I'm halfway done with the project but the fence had to be bumped up on the list because of the increased destructive force of the beagle.

I'll be back working on the fence once I'm done with this and have read all my information for the city council meeting tonight.

I'm going to need to go back to work just so I can take a break from all the work.
